Through the eyes of a child

Sydney woke up this cold and snowy saturday morning and requested that we go swimming.     Having not 1 but 2 babies with pink eye and 1 with croup I told her that we couldn't go...but then said, "well, Mommy J could take you and I could stay home with the babies"  to which Mommy J added, "NO I-I-I-I will stay home, while mama takes you swimming."
Sydney spoke up, "No, Mommy J because Mama works and you just relax.   because 1- you'll go downstairs  2- you'll turn on the Jazz game  3- you'll cover up with a blanket 4- you'll drink a diet coke 5- you'll eat licorice  6- you'll relax and 7- the babies will make messes.   And Mama will have to clean the house."

I'd say her account of things is pretty accurate.   Nobody is going swimming.   J's sleeping and I'm off to unload the dishwasher.   :)
