California

We had SUCH a great time on our trip to California.  Despite a few meltdowns. oh and that one time that Spencer almost drowned in the pool and that time that Cameron almost drowned in the pool. twice actually.  :) it went perfectly.
The wedding reception was gorgeous.  the food delicious.  the babysitter AWESOME.
We *heart* adventure city.
Didn't appreciate the San Diego Wild Animal Park so much.  (which reminds me...I need to call them to see if they have my face....it melted off while I was there.  not so much my rear end though.  hmm? figures)

The kids LOVED the ocean.  not so much the sand.  just the water part.
Ryan loved it when he was holding on to you :)  The rest couldn't get enough.
Here are some.  ok, here are a LOT of pictures from the trip.

TOTALLY not staged.  This picture of them holding hands was worth the whole trip to California.
Spencer would get his toughest face on when heading back out to sea.....and then turn and run screaming toward the beach when the big waves came !
It looks as if we rolled Nathan to the ocean.   Nope.  he did it himself. :)
I love her happy little face.

Pictures of the house we rented.
As it worked out, we were able to rent a house for the same price as we were paying for our hotel.
It seems that if you wait until 4 days prior to arriving....people are more willing to make you a deal in order to get the house rented :)   I suppose that we being the luckiest people on earth has a little something to do with it too.   Oh and that Janice seems to be the queen of deals :)
It was SUPER nice and even nicer to have a fenced backyard albeit small AND there were no neighbors above or below us to worry about when the kids got too loud.
We only ate out once while we were there and it's all because of this here kitchen :)
Oh and the BBQ out back.
The boys room.   Loved the themed decorating.
The cute details of Syd's room.

Pictures of Adventure city.  which is like the smaller kiddie land part of Lagoon taken out of Utah and placed nicely in California.
This tortoise was part of the petting zoo area I believe.  He escaped and was roaming the park eating as much grass as he could get in to his mouth before they found him and put him back.
Contrary to popular belief...tortoises are actually pretty fast when they wanna be.
This picture was posted to prove that Janice, you are in fact a backseat driver.
I enter exhibit A.
This picture is the only one I'm posting from the Wild Animal Park.
Added Caption:
"HORTON, turn on the air conditioner, we're HOT !"
(I suppose if you've seen the movie you will get the humor in that :) ha ha
