Being a mother has only helped me realize what an amazing mother I have.
My mom always told me she loved me. She always hugged me and helped to reassure me that her love was unconditional. She taught me how important it is to squeeze my kids so tight it takes their breath away and that a picnic on the lawn will probably be one of the lasting memories they keep with them all of their lives.
My mom taught me how important it is to work hard. She worked a full time job, ran a household and raised 3 extremely crazy kids. I also remember through it all, whether she was at work or not....dinner was always prepared every night.
I remember getting that new pair of LA gears and her wearing the same old worn out shirts. She always ate last. She always took what was left.
I have learned so much about being a mother and not just a mother to my kids....but a good mom.
