I'm not normally the one that does the writing on this blog, but felt like I needed to tell my mom how much I love her.
I took my mom and Jo to lunch today. Jo is still recovering from her knee surgery and can't drive.
As we were standing in line at Chuck a rama my mom handed me a note. She explained that she had cut this article out and debated whether or not to give it to me but decided to because it's the way she feels.
My mom is 85 years old. Probably very set in a lot of her ways but she's always able to show me how unconditional her love is for me. She shows me by example how I want to love my own kids.
I don't know the struggle that my mom has been faced with, but I know that she's always done it with a strong sense of self and grace.
I love you mom.
